The new generation of safety at home.

Children touch everything, we know, but from today germs are less scary.

The passion with which BREVI creates products for children that are easy to use and beautiful to see, has always been combined with a great attention to safety. This is why Brevi presents the first antibacterial range of home products made with coatings treated with integrated antimicrobial technology effective at 97%, to guarantee hygiene and well-being to the child.
In fact, in the Bianconiglio, My Little Bears and Cielo Stellato collections, the integrated antibacterial technology blocks the formation and multiplication of bacteria, fungi and moulds by inhibiting their cellular function and ensuring complete and permanent hygiene.

The benefits
• constant antimicrobial effect against bacteria responsible for 60% of skin infections
• durable hygienic freshness and high washing resistance
• effective against odour formation
• reduction of allergies
• chemically tested according to the most tightening standards for early childhood (ISO 22196:2011)

To which bacteria does the antibacterial line Brevi resist?

The coatings of Brevi antibacterial line have been tested to resist the bacteria Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.
Escherichia coli: bacterium that is an integral part of normal human intestinal flora. There are some strains that pose a risk to human health causing disorders of different severity such as abdominal cramps, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea.
Staphylococcus aureus: it is the most responsible bacterium for infections of the skin such as boils, impetigo, abscesses, infection of wounds or burns.

By what method were they tested?

With the concise test method, antibacterial treated or untreated coating is strewn with bacterial cells (Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus) for 24 hours at 35 Celsius degrees in an environment with humidity >90% to promote the growth of bacteria. The effectiveness of the treatment is assessed as the degree of survival of the germs brought into contact with the treated or untreated coating.
This test is carried out at least three times to evaluate the reproducibility of the data.

With the ZNP (Zinc Pyrithione) treatment applied to BREVI coatings, the growth of bacteria decreased between 97% and 99%.
